I was born in Australia and came to the United States to pursue a Ph. D. in mathematics at Harvard University, met my wife, and never went back. I am a professor at the University of Arizona, working in number theory and mathematics education.

    This progression gives me more ideas for efficiently building coherence from the ground up while moving forward with my students. Training with Ed Reports this summer also helped me visualize modeling as the foundation and glue. That isn’t what I was taught in “teacher school.” Thanks for another great explanation.
